Family Dollar recently celebrated a Grand Re-opening at 1016 S. Main Street, Greer, following a renovation.
The store will now include $1 Dollar Tree merchandise, additional freezers and coolers and an expanded selection of food, beauty and essentials, household products and seasonal items.

Greetings to all from the Camellia Garden Club. This is sure to be an exciting month with so much going on: The Spring Equinox is on March 20th and with the approach of Easter Sunday we are already seeing warmer temperatures and milder evenings.
The City of Greer’s annual Eggtastic Easter Event will take place via drive-through on March 27 due to COVID-19.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. until noon at the Edward R. Driggers Center for the Arts on Trade St.
Families are asked to register in advance for one of two hour-long time slots being offered.
The City of Greer is accepting applications for the Accommodations Tax Grants.
Abbot’s Frozen Custard, located at 119 E. Poinsett Street in Greer, will donate 100 percent of its sales on Wednesday, March 10 to a local church.

Chances are many people have heard of Irish soda bread and corned beef and cabbage, both of which are especially popular on St. Patrick’s Day (although the latter isn’t entirely authentic Irish cuisine). But there are many different traditional Irish dishes that may not be as well-known and enjoyed outside of Ireland.
A portion of Stallings Road, from Pebble Creek Drive to Ginger Road, is closed with all lanes blocked, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
The temporary closure is due to repairs being made on the bridge over Mountain Creek.
