The Blue Ridge Middle robotics team competed in the Electric City Vex Robotics Tournament in Anderson recently. Competing teams included: Miracle Whipped, The Land Sharks and Born in the Sky. Born in the Sky brought home the Design Award and qualified for the state competition to be held March 2. Members of Born in the Sky include Decatur Mason, Keegan McGrath, Harrison Hawkins and Eli Lindley (above). The next competition is Feb. 2 at J.L. Mann High.

Colleges hosting information sessions
The University of South Carolina, Clemson University and the College of Charleston will host a Student/Parent Information Session for high school sophomores and juniors on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the Greenville Convention Center.
