WELLS FARGO FOUNDATION GRANT SUPPORTS MIDDLE TYGER COMMUNITY CENTER

The Middle Tyger Community Center (MTCC) announced today a $2,500 grant from Wells Fargo to support family literacy programs.  

MTCC’s programs focus on improving the health, education and financial stability of individuals in the community. Programs include Adult Education (GED, adult literacy, and English for Speakers of Other Languages), early childhood education, a free health clinic, a family counseling center, a food pantry and crisis intervention, and comprehensive programs for pregnant and parenting adolescents and their children.  MTCC is a valuable asset for the community and plays a leading role in improving quality of life for children and families.

In 2014, Wells Fargo invested $3.4 million to local nonprofit organizations and schools in South Carolina.
