I caught quite the chill from the cold wind blowing up the river in the higher elevations, and I could no longer turn my back to it, so I gathered my scattered thoughts and my gear and climbed the bank up to the road and walked back to the car, because that’s where the heater lives.
Theatre to present
Holiday Spectacular
Greenville Theatre will show its original musical revue, Broadway Holiday Spectacular, through Dec. 18. Join a Greenville family’s annual holiday party and learn that the daughter has a secret holiday wish to become a Broadway performer.
Seven artists are housed at the Greer Center for the Arts, which is open to the public Tuesdays from 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Jennie Kim is an artist and children’s book illustrator who works in Asian black ink, colored pencils, watercolors, and acrylic paint.
An ancient drink with a rich history, tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages around the world. According to legend, the mythological Chinese ruler Shennong discovered tea by accident when the leaves of a nearby plant fell into water he had boiled.

Trade Street Union will be back in their hometown of Greer at Stomping Grounds bringing a Rockin Christmas show on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 6-9 p.m.
Stomping Grounds was the first place where Trade Street Union played as a trio, and this year’s event will include a mix of favorite cover songs as well as some favorite Christmas tunes.
The City of Greer recognized this year’s Giving Thanks Art Show winners during the regular November 22 council meeting.
Winners included:
• Rebecca Bouvier – 1st Place High School (mixed media category)
• Evie Driggs – 2nd Place High School (single media category)
Gingerbread House
Competition
The City of Greer is holding a Gingerbread House Competition again this year at the Center for the Arts, located at 804 Trade Street.
Remaining submission dates are December 2-3.
