Classic appreciation
Visitors enjoyed looking at classic cars during the International 300 Club’s spring meeting at Benson Chrysler Dodge Jeep on Saturday. The event drew close to 100 vehicles for display.
Greer Rec to host Kids to Parks Day
The City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department will host several events as part of Kids to Parks Day on Saturday, May 21, beginning at 10 a.m.
There will be activities planned for ages 5-18, including:
Tennis: Tryon Recreation, 10 a.m.-noon
Skateboarding: Victor Park, 11 a.m.-noon
GCT to stage ‘How I Became a Pirate’
The Greer Children’s Theatre will present “How I Became a Pirate” May 6-8 and 13-15 at the City of Greer Center for the Arts.
Showtimes are Fridays at 7 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.
The Center for the Arts is located at 804 Trade Street.

Miss South Carolina Volunteer Tori Sizemore will compete for the national title of Miss Volunteer America May 4-7 in Jackson, Tennessee.
Greer Farmers Market returns May 3 to City Park
Greer Farmers Market Spring/Summer season will be held during Tuesdays in Town May 3-Aug. 30, 4:30-7:30 p.m., at Greer City Park.
The event features produce, plants, pastries, eggs, breads, food trucks, live music, fitness and wellness booths, locally made goods, foodie events, and kids activities.
