A fish tale
Ashley ‘The Mermaid’ Tucker visited Gold’s Gym in Greer Monday to read ‘The Rainbow Fish’ to children in attendance. A member of the gym, Tucker uses a monofin to swim following a medical diagnosis of transverse myelitis. She is releasing a children’s book, ‘Lynn the Mermaid,’ in late summer or early fall.

Rhythm City to headline Tunes in the Park
Rhythm City Band will headline Tunes in the Park on Friday, July 26, at the Greer City Park Amphitheater.
The upstate’s Rhythm City Band performs a versatile set of music from beach, rock and roll, oldies, classics, country and motown.
Gaffney artist to exhibit abstract prints
Gaffney artist Robin Childers will present her exhibit Paint to Print at West Main Artists Co-op in Spartanburg, Aug. 6-31, giving patrons a look at her prints of colorful abstracted flowers and shapes that are based on paintings and digital drawings.
