Wellford council unanimously passed the first reading of an ordinance that will rescind several other outdated or repetitive ordinances on the books.

“Sometime ago we met up in the mountains (at a workshop) and decided that there were some ordinances that we either needed to change or do away with,” Mayor Tommy Watson said.
