The Greer Commission of Public Works (CPW) is hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, April 7, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at 301 McCall Street in Greer.
The Blood Connection is in dire need of donations.

Spring Fling
El Bethel Baptist Church is having a free family event Spring Fling and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with free hotdogs, a bounce house, an egg hunt, crafts and lots of candy.
Greer Community Ministries’ March for Meals campaign ended recently, and we are now moving into national Volunteer Appreciation month.
Greer Community Ministries is extremely grateful for the greater Greer community. And not just for the response to the most recent campaign.

The United States Coast Guard Band performed at the District Five Fine Arts Center as part of the 2022 National Concert Tour Southern Connections.
Commander Adam Williamson led the program April 1 with works by Kevin Day, John Philip Sousa, and more.
Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) re-opened valet parking on Monday, April 4.
Valet services are available on a daily basis from 4:15 a.m. until one hour after the day’s last arrival.
Valet service, which was originally launched in May 2017, was temporarily suspended at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A portion of Trade Street in downtown Greer will close this Friday for Dine on Trade from 2–10 p.m.
Closures will be from Poinsett to the railroad tracks on Trade, from alley to alley on Victoria Street and from the alley to CBL’s side entrance on Randall Street.
Street closure signage will go up on Thursday.

Dine on Trade returns to Downtown Greer on April 8.
The popular downtown event, presented by Benson of Greer, will take place three times in 2022, including: June 10 and October 21.
City of Greer officials say a spike in hospitality tax revenues could be the result of inflation.
Susan Howell, budget and audit manager for the city, reported a year-to-date hospitality and accommodations tax revenue of $1,970,000 at last Tuesday’s Greer City Council meeting.
