Lyman to hold special election

A special election will be held to fill the Lyman Council seat previously occupied by Glenn Greer, who won both the mayoral seat as well as the council seat in the November election.

With the receipt of Greer’s letter accepting the mayoral seat, and declining the council seat, a special election has been set for March 8.

Duncan approves new projects

Duncan Town Council approved several new residential, commercial and industrial developments last week.

A request approved on first reading for 218 Leonard Road will change the zoning from RS-1, Residential District, to RM-16, Multi-Family Residential District, for the six-acre parcel.

Drive thru coffee shop set for 101

A drive-thru coffee shop is proposed for 1467 Highway 101, next to Bojangles near I-85.

Chris Price with Blue Water Civil Design gave a brief overview of the project to Greer’s Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) on Thursday, December 16.

“This is part of Caliber Ridge Greer Industrial Park,” Price said.
