Off the grid community moves forward

An off the grid community planned for Inglesby Street in downtown Greer is moving forward with a Final Development Plan (FDP).

The Greer Planning Commission unanimously approved the FDP for the project on Monday night.

The first phase of the development includes installation of ten homes with a gravel, private road.

Coffee company to create 500 jobs

Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. (Keurig), has announced plans to construct a new packaging facility in Moore, marking an investment of $350 million and the creation of 500 jobs.

Established in 1981, Keurig specializes in single-serving coffee and tea products with more than 500 total varieties.

A Spartanburg County deputy has been placed on paid administrative leave following a shooting on Sunday afternoon.

According to officials with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, police were called to a Moore residence at around 4:41 p.m. in referenced to a disturbance with weapons.
