Albert L. Smith, Jr.

Albert Lee “Smitty” Smith, Jr., 83, formerly of 104 Pleasant Heights, widower of Mary Marlene Caldwell Smith, died July 20, 2015.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Albert Lee Smith, Sr. and Leona Padgett Smith Aiken, he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, a retired employee of Cunningham Waters Construction Co. and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Jackie M. Smith of Greer; a daughter, Lisa Champion of Greer; cousins, Mike Aiken of Bennettsville, Barbara Aldridge of Leesville and Christine Lamb of Augusta, Georgia; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Marion and Judy Smith and Jim Wooten all of Greer.

Mr. Smith was predeceased by his step-father, Elford Aiken.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Neil Wooten and Millie Wooten.
