Cleon Powers Rochester
Cleon Powers Rochester, 91, widow of Walter Lee Rochester, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Boggs Powers and Eunice Boyter Powers, a retired employee of Norris Manufacturing and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn R. Collier of Greer; a son, Wayne Lee Rochester of Lyman; nine grandchildren, Carrol Rochester (Sonja), Steve Rochester, Kris Rochester, Cindy Quinn (Steve), Lee Hardy (Carrie), Luke Hardy, Jaime Raulerson (Will), Jerry Collier and Larry Collier; seventeen great-grandchildren, Allison Anders, Matthew, Madison, Hayley, Chase, Walker and Karson Rochester, Steven and Stephanie Quinn, Audrey, Matt and Zeke Hardy, Sarah and Stacey Collier, Daniel Pittman, Mackenzie Edens and Grant Raulerson; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Sybil and Ricky Hardy, a great-great-grandchild, Issac Anders and her brother, Charlie Powers.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, conducted by Rev. Larry Armstrong at Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary.
