David ‘Pete’ Green

David Oneal “Pete” Green, 82, passed away on June 29, 2017 at his home.

A native of Greer, son of the late John Belton and Lizzie Owings Green, he was a retired truck driver for Springs Industries and a member of Burnsview Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Sybil Norris Green; one daughter, Donna Cooper (Les) of Lyman; one sister, Joanne Coggins (Marvin) of Woodruff; three grandsons, Brent Cooper (Kristan), Blake Cooper and Brayden Cooper (Ashley); three great-grandchildren, Brantley Cooper, Millie Grace Cooper and Myles Cooper; special nieces, Andrea Rollins, Lisa Coggins and Jane Green and special nephew Jerry Green.

Mr. Green was predeceased by three brothers, Jessie B. Green, Harold Green and Earl Green and two sisters, Annie Bell Carlton and Lucille Johnson.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Burnsview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby and Rev. Steve Durham.  Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Visitation was held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The family is at the home.
