Dianne Shirley

Dianne Yvette Hill Shirley, 71, passed away January 16, 2019.

A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late William Jay and Kathryn Wilbanks Hill, she was a retired Physical Education teacher for Northwood Middle School after 37 years of service and a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Rickert Franklin Shirley of the home; two sons, Jason Shirley of Greenville and Allen Shirley (Kate) of Mooresville, North Carolina; a brother, Tom Hill (Diana) of Sebastian, Florida; a sister, Muriel Hill-Rowley (Glen) of Easley; and three grandchildren, Carson Shirley of Joanna, Anna Shirley and Luke Shirley both of Mooresville, North Carolina. 

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Pastor Gene Ownbey, Jr.  Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held 12-1:45 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.
