Helen Bernadette Miller Roberts passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the age of 85.
She was the cherished wife of the late George R. Roberts; loving mother of Catherine Anne Huff (Eddie); proud grandmother of Ashley Noel Roberts Vitale (Charles), Melissa Fraser (Gary), Crystal Wormser (Andy), Christopher Brian (Ruby), Jeremy Robert Huff (Shannon), Tina Mayer (Michael), Peter Barrios, Pam Todd (Dwayne), Tracey Dudenhefer (Cary), Helen Denise Huff Galloway (Shannon); and great-grandmother of Robert Weldon Huff, Wyatt Brian, Catherine Alexandria Huff, Jackson Dudenhefer, Allison Dudenhefer, Cory Barrios, Kayla Caronna, Michael Mones, Peyton Wormser, Cainon Wormser, Easton Wormser, Emily LeJeune, Brieanne Elisia Ray (Chris) and Bailee Jayne Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her children Delores Jean Barrios, Helen Bernice Genova (Ronnie), Bobbie Darlene Wilson, Georgia Anne Roberts, and her siblings Rita LaPour, Delores Thomas, Herbert Miller and Robbie Miller.
Helen was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was currently residing in Taylors, South Carolina. She found pleasure in the details of everyday life and caring deeply for others. She will always be remembered for her deep faith and devotion to her church, her loyalty and dedication to her family, her caring and loving spirit, her laughter, and spoiling the grandchildren. She taught us that faith, hope and love can do amazing things.
Funeral services were held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA, on Friday, August 17. Mrs. Roberts was laid to rest beside her beloved husband George in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
