Ira Dean “Jack” Howard, 81, passed away January 25, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

 

A native of Greenville County, a son of the late William P. and Daisy Wolfe Howard, he was the owner/operator of Pelham Road Sunoco and US Air Force veteran.

 

Surviving are his wife, Dixie Foster Howard of the home; three daughters, Beverly Howard, Ginger Johnson (Keith) and Susan Howard; two sons, Greg Howard and Jason Howard (Alison) all of Greer; one brother, Kenneth Howard of Greer; eight grandchildren, Zachary K. Howard, Amber N. Hall (Trey), Atalie B. Cannon (Scott), Dr. Kinsley A. Johnson, Chandler K. Johnson (Jordan), Jaden K. Howard, Jensen L. Howard and Adison M. Howard; and two great-grandchildren, Abby Gray Honeycutt and Ace V. Cannon.

 

He was also predeceased by four brothers, Thomas E. Howard, William C. Good, Harold Good and Leroy Good.

 

Funeral services were held 4 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery.  Burial followed in Wood Memorial Park.

 

Visitation was held 2:30-3:45 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.

 

The family is at the home.
