Jewell H. Stansell

Jewell Howell Stansell, 93, of Greer, widow of Dewey A. Stansell, Jr., passed away October 29, 2019.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Ida King Howell, she was a retired employee of State Auto and a longtime member of Victor Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Karen Y. Stansell of Tega Cay, South Carolina, Amy Byars Clary of Greer and Celeste S. Moon (William) of Landrum; six grandchildren, Jay Byars (Amber), Jessica Byars Groves (Austin), Joni Byars, Tony Moon, Matthew Clary (Briana) and Astra Moon Melsom (Chris); and eight great-grandchildren, Katie Jo Byars, Georgia Byars, Aidan Groves, John Paul Groves, Mary Katherine Groves, Sara Beth Groves, Adelina Groves and Cullen Groves.

Mrs. Stansell was predeceased by a brother, Cecil Howell, and three sisters, Mary Anne Bruce, Pat Davis and Juanita Hendrix.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held after the service at the cemetery.

The family is at their respective homes.
