Michael D. Hastings

Michael David Hastings, 69, of Lexington, passed away February 3, 2017, at his home.

A native of Greer, son of the late William “Bill” and Edna Jenkins Hastings, he was a retired employee of Celanese-Mitsubishi, a US Marine Corps veteran, and member of New Testament Church in Lexington.

Surviving are his wife, Renee Ingram Hastings of the home; a son, Andy Hastings (Zeta) of Chapin; a daughter, Kimberly Carder of Irmo and two grandchildren, Sarah Kate and Kinsley Hastings.

Mr. Hastings was also predeceased by three brothers, Dan Hastings, Bob Hastings and Ron Hastings; and a sister Betty Kidderis.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at The Wood Mortuary in Greer, SC.  Burial followed in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation was held 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
