Virginia D. Sloan

Virginia Dobbins Sloan, 82, widow of Barney R. Sloan, passed away Dec. 2, 2017.

A daughter of the late Baxter Eugene and Faye Jones Dobbins, she was a retired employee of Cryovac and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Vicki Black of Landrum and two grandchildren, Amanda Laughter and Cameron Black.

Mrs. Sloan was predeceased by a daughter Lisa Laughter, a son-in-law, Phil Laughter and a sister, Joyce Powell.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at Holly Springs Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Tim Clark.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at The Wood Mortuary.
