William Douglas “Doug” Smith

William Douglas “Doug” Smith, widower of Clemie Gosnell Smith, passed away February 7, 2021.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late William Clyde and Jessie Mae Robertson Smith and he was retired from SCDOT.

Surviving are one daughter, Tracy Smith Phillips (Wendell) of Taylors; two sons, Marion “Doug” Smith of Taylors; David Smith (Tara) of Greer; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.

Mr. Smith was predeceased by one son Chris Gosnell.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at The Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Allen Gosnell. Burial will follow at God’s House of Prayer Church Cemetery.

The body will lie in state Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 2-7 p.m.

The family will be at their respective homes.
