Ollie Brown Khan, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Eden Terrace of Spartanburg.

James Preston Brockman, Sr., 78, passed away August 5, 2017 at his home.

Frances Dunlap Joyal, 78, widow of David Armond Joyal, Sr., passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.

A native of York County, she was a daughter of the late Elliott Crook and Bessie Sexton Dunlap; a retired employee of Springmasters and of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

Mattie Marie Bates Neal, 49, passed away July 24, 2017 at her home.

A native of Greenville, daughter of the late Eugene and Mattie Campbell Bates, she was of the Freewill Baptist faith.

Floyd Brown, 86, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

A native of Greer, he was a son of the late Arden and Inez Lyda Brown; a retired U.S. Navy veteran, serving in both Korea and Vietnam and member of Locust Hill Baptist Church.

Calvin Eugene Carter, 59, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was the son of the late Clarence Carter and Corrine Steadman and the husband of Sharon Blackwell Carter.

He is also survived by two sons, Cassie Blackwell and Calvin Carter; a daughter, Ashley Sutherland; seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Jessie Cleveland Paget Lamb, 89, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017.

The funeral service was conducted Tuesday July 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Oakmont Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Beth Thompson.  The family received friends at 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service.  Burial followed the service in Pinewood Memorial Park.

Frances Geraldine Duncan Hines, 80, widow of Richard Hines, passed away July 14, 2017.

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Isreal Elford “I.E” and Nora Wofford Duncan, she was a member of Oneal Church of God.
