Greer Police, firefighters and EMS responded to 113 Brookwood Dr. on Tuesday afternoon to find a man lying on a roof. The homeowner and family were in the home at the time, but were unsure of how or why the individual climbed on the house. Greer police said they pursued the man on suspicions of theft. Police are investigating.
An arrest has been made following two convenience store robberies last week.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office charged 33-year-old Dante Bryant Ludy with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The Tyger River Fire District, along with Spartanburg County CERT, and the American Red Cross, announces a community outreach partnership program on Saturday, April 23rd, 2016, to check and if necessary, install free smoke alarms in more than 200 homes in the Apalache Community starting at 10 a.m.

Greer Police are searching for a suspect they say committed a strong armed robbery Monday morning in Greer.
The robbery took place at the Walgreens at 1232 Wade Hampton Blvd. at around 10:15 a.m.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Kimberly Dawn Wallace, of 135 Bomar Ave., Inman, for involuntary manslaughter and unlawful neglect of a child for an incident that occurred at her prior residence of 186 Bethune St., Inman, on July 2, 2014, at approx 4:30 a.m., that resulted in the death of an infant child.
The Warrant Division of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate a wanted suspect. He is Marquel Danuiell Littlejohn. He is described as a black male, date of birth: March 11, 1980, with a last known address of 417 Farley Ave., Spartanburg.
