North Greenville University will team up with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office this fall to provide higher education opportunities for sheriff’s office employees.

The City of Greer Police Department will be holding the 11th Annual Upstate SC Law Enforcement Memorial Softball Tournament to raise support for the families of fallen officers in the Upstate of South Carolina on Saturday, Aug. 20, 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., at Century Park.

A Woodruff man received an 18-year prison sentence and a $10,000 fine today after he admitted to driving under the influence of methamphetamine during wreck that took the life of a local teen.

Michael O’Neal Armstrong, 47, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and was sentenced by Circuit Judge Keith Kelly.
