Tommy Lee Tyler, 18, of Duncan, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 5, by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office as a suspect in an armed robbery. He was the third suspect arrested in the case, as the additional two were previously taken into custody.
This time of year, robbery and larceny crimes can increase by about 20 percent, and according to Wellford Police Chief David Green, he sees the increase for himself each December.
Jennifer Weitzel Berry, 42, of Travelers Rest, died after a vehicle collision involving two pedestrians.
On November 25, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the Travelers Rest Police Department responded to the area of Glenview Park Place and N. Main St., Travelers Rest, in reference to a vehicle collision.
