Greer and Riverside were rained out on Friday night, but they weren’t the only two teams that had to call a game off due to severe weather.

The weather won out on Friday night during many Upstate football games.

Nearby lightning strikes caused delays, interruptions and postponements.

Scott Krentz, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service said on Monday that the service was expecting a 60 to 70 percent chance of thunderstorms around the Upstate.
