Greer High accepting HOF nominations
The Greer High Booster Club is accepting nominations for induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame.
Nominees must have graduated from Greer High a minimum of five years before becoming eligible. Criteria are based on athletic accomplishments as a high school student.

With remarkable perseverance behind the wheel of a car stuck in fourth gear, Kyle Busch saved enough fuel to win Sunday’s Explore the Pocono Mountains 350, the second leg of a weekend NASCAR Cup Series doubleheader at Pocono Raceway.

The North Greenville football team hasn’t played since Nov. 9, 2019.

It was a 17-14 double-overtime loss to Florida Tech.

Greer High students Ivey May, Ashlyn Norris and Miller DeArmond, left to right, were recognized as the 2021 scholarship recipients during the Nathan Moore Golf Tournament held Saturday at Links O’Tryon. The tournament and a namesake foundation were created in 2016 in memory of late Greer High basketball player Nathan Moore.

The Greer Warhawks improved to 5-0 with three wins last week, but their toughest baseball is still ahead.

Post 115 earned wins over Gaffney (15-5), Buffalo (14-3) and Spartanburg (8-7), stringing together some impressive offensive performances.

The Byrnes football team has been fine-tuning its passing game against some of the best talent in the southeast.

The Rebels recently participated in 7-on-7 events at the University of Georgia and the University of South Carolina ahead of its own competition in Duncan this weekend.

Eastside, Riverside and Greer high teams participated in the 7-on-7 football tournament Friday at North Greenville University.
