North Greenville recorded its second conference win of the season with a 78-70 victory over the Saints of Limestone College. The Crusaders shot well yet again, posting a .468 field goal percentage for the game. DJ Brooks tied the season-high with a 25 point performance.
Entering his 18th season as a head coach, Tom Chamness will be relying on a wealth of young talent to make some noise in the region this winter.
The Eastside boys basketball team has worked its way to a 3-1 start, with wins over Riverside, High Point and Powdersville.
The Eagles’ only loss came against Southside, 62-57.
The Blue Ridge girls basketball team is off to a 2-2 start, following losses to TL Hanna and Dorman during the Lady Red Raider Thanksgiving Invitational.
The Lady Tigers opened the tournament with a narrow 59-55 loss to Hanna. Blue Ridge was led by a monster performance from Abby King, who had 36 points and went 10-21 from the field.
The Yellow Jackets will return a lot of experience to the hardwood this fall, as Greg Miller enters his fourth season as head coach.
The Greer boys basketball team swings into action this week, with games against Byrnes and Union County on the schedule.

The Byrnes boys’ basketball team earned wins over Rockdale County and Wade Hampton during the Bearden Border Wars Tournament before falling to Franklin County, 73-66.

capture second
The Byrnes High wrestling team captured second place in the North Henderson Invitational recently.
The Rebels competed in 11 of 14 weight classes and had nine wrestlers score points.
