I’ve been disappointed in our (Greer High) fans. It’s a shame when you have a home game and TR has more fans there than we did. I just don’t understand it. We need to get behind these kids right now—win, lose or draw.

Greer laid its first gridiron goose egg in ten years Friday night. The Yellow Jackets’ big playmakers had left the building (not of their own accord), and the result was Greenville shutting out Greer, 16-0 in the key Region II, AAAA opener at Dooley Field. It was the first time Greer had failed to score since losing to Union in 2009.
A tough Homecoming game is almost unheard-of, but that is what’s on tap for Friday night when Greer High welcomes old grads and Travelers Rest to Dooley Field, where the Yellow Jackets are winless this season.
The Rebels held the visiting Riverside Warriors scores last Friday during a 54-0 homecoming win at Nixon Field.
