The Riverside Warriors (4-7) took to the road Friday night to face the Catawba Ridge Copperheads (9-1) in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs.
The Warriors had finished the regular season as co-conference champions and were making their second straight appearance in the post season.

Riding the crest of a three-game winning streak, Greer brings momentum into the opening round of the Class 4-A football playoffs against familiar foe South Pointe this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Dooley Field.
The winner will advance to play the winner of Greenville vs. Aiken on the road next week.

In a win or go home game Friday night, the Eagles dropped a close one to Wade Hampton, 49-42, to end their season.
Halfway through the first quarter of Fridays game at Blue Ridge High School, quarterback Tucker Massey hit a major milestone.
After a 67-yard rushing touchdown to take their lead to 14-0 against the Devil dogs, Massey reached 1,000 yards passing and rushing.
