The first Aspiring Cosmetologist Award was presented on May 4 at an award ceremony at Swofford Career Center in Inman.
Dennis Funk, business partner to Amy Taylor, partially owns Carolina Charm Salon and Spa in Duncan and decided this year to start awarding graduating cosmetologists in the area.
