Local resident awarded Order of the Palmetto

Spartanburg County resident Francis “F.E.” Hendrix, 97, was awarded the Order of the Palmetto by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster late last year.
The Order of the Palmetto is the highest honor a South Carolina civilian can receive, and Hendrix earned the recognition through years of dedication to helping his community.
