Greer man gets 17 year sentence

A Greer man has been sentenced to 17 and 1/2 years in prison for drug offenses, a gun offense, and a probation violation.
Greenville man receives 25 years

A Greenville man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for an armed robbery at a convenience store in Spartanburg County on October 11, 2021.
Worker rescued from storm drain
At 7:40 a.m. on Friday, Tyger River Fire Department was dispatched to a new school construction site regarding a man who had fallen down a storm drain.
At the construction site at Pine Ridge Road and Highway 29 in Lyman, Captain Major Lee said workers were putting in storm drains, and a man had fallen 25 feet down one of them.

The Greer Police Department (GPD) is hosting its Spring 2023 Citizen’s Police Academy, beginning on February 2.
Greer man dies in wreck

Tyson D. Nesbett, 38, of Greer died in a single motor vehicle collision on January 19.
According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office (GCCO), the GCCO and the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to 246 Bates Crossing Road in Travelers Rest.
The restrained driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
