On Thursday, May 8, beginning at 10 a.m., Walmart on Pelham Road will be hosting its fifth annual “Driving for Miracles,” a golf tournament to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network.  The event is set to take place on the course at Willow Creek Country Club.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Abner Creek
Abner Creek Baptist Church will host its annual “Easter Eggstravaganza” on Saturday, April 19 10 a.m.-noon. The event will feature a puppet show, games and egg hunt.

A new church will take shape in downtown Greer on Easter Sunday and, for two local pastors, it has been a long process of careful thought and hard work.

Many believe running a church and owning a tattoo studio to be a moral contradiction of sorts.  

Relay for Life fundraiser
New Covenant Fellowship will be having a hot dog, bake sale and donut sale on Saturday, April 12 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 2425 Racing Rd. in Greer.

This past weekend, April 5-6, the Greer First Baptist worship and drama team partnered with New River bluegrass band to present an Easter musical drama, “Three Days Later.”

Brushy Creek First Assembly of God has been a part of the Greer community for many years, but the church recently decided to become a part of Greenville as well, merging with Trinity Fellowship, an Assembly of God church located on Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville.

Greer First Baptist Church will host Scrambling for Eggs on Saturday, April 5, 10-11:30 a.m.
The event will offer face painting, inflatables, balloon animals, and lots of candy-filled eggs. Activities are free.
