Shaedon Meadors elected to play college ball at Appalachian State University. Meadors is coming off a senior season in which he caught more than 30 touchdown passes.

Byrnes’ Shaedon Meadors will play his college football at Appalachian State University. The senior standout, who earned The Greer Citizen’s Player of the Year honors in his final season, made his decision final last week on National Signing Day. “It was just a lot of praying and a lot of thought,” Meadors said.

 Greer’s Quez Nesbitt signs to play  college football at Georgia Military College. The senior leaves Greer as the school’s all-time leading rusher. He will run track and field for the Yellow Jackets in the spring.

After a record-breaking season on the gridiron, Greer’s Quez Nesbitt will be looking to continue his football career at the next level.
The senior signed with Georgia Military College last week, and head coach Will Young said it was a huge step.

Students make it official

More than 10 student athletes from around the area will sign letters of intent to their respective colleges on Wednesday (Feb. 5) as National Signing Day hits Greer.

Byrnes will have at least nine athletes sign while Eastside will have two of its own make commitments.
